In the present financial environment, the Coconut Grove Sailing Club is looking for ways to be more cost efficient and unfortunately one of the largest budget cuts went to The Channel publication committee. Realizing how important The Channel news and updates are to all of us, the goal is to deliver the same quality publication, even with a 60% reduction in the budget. Taking on this new challenge we have come up with a solution that will cover the club's news in a more effective way and at the same time increase circulation. Therefore, the overall profile of the club and CGSC’s many activities will reach more people and better promote the club facilities at half the cost.
We would like to encourage members to choose to receive The Channel via the Internet. Every month, a newsletter will go out to those members who choose to Opt-In with a link on the newsletter photo that will take you directly to the current month's issue on the website. The new format will be user-friendly and contain the same great information, announcements and photos. One advantage is that everyone in the household can save their own copy and easily share and forward it on to others by link or by attachment.
If you're not interested, no problem, for those folks who prefer to stay status quo, a version of the publication will be sent by regular mail on a monthly basis.
