ABOUT MEMBERSHIP

Although membership is not required to keep your boat on our mooring field or to partake in our sailing lessons, becoming a part of the CGSC family certainly has its perks. Aside from being a member of the community for well over 50 years, CGSC members enjoy an array of benefits:
A Real Sailor’s Community

Host to regattas year-round, BBYRA Events, University of Miami’s Sailing Team, Rolex Miami Olympic Classes Regattas, Audi Melges 20s Winter Series, and many more.

The Grove’s Nest

CGSC’s bar and lounge evokes the feel of a beach front restaurant. With its sprawling terrace, and traditional marine decor, we create the perfect weekend get away vibe. Boasting indoor and outdoor seating, seasonal American casual menus, one of the best views of Biscayne Bay, it is the perfect spot to enjoy the company of good friends. The Grove’s Nest comes alive every Friday night during our live music performances.

Member Events

We love a good party at CGSC! Whether we are getting together for a weekend of social sailing though our frequent rendezvous, or on enjoying one of the many social events at the clubhouse such as our 4th of July BBQ, Officer Installation Dinner, New Year’s Eve, or Dog Day, the fun never stops at CGSC!

Learn to Sail at CGSC

An affiliate of US Sailing, CGSC has taught Adults & Children to sail since 1946. We boast successful Learn-to-Sail programs with an enviable safety record. Our sailing lessons, camps and clinics welcome the public, CGSC members enjoy preferred pricing.

Regular Member

One-Time Initiation Fee:

$2250.00 (For City of Miami Residents ONLY – ex: Coconut Grove, Brickell, Little Havana, Silver Bluff, Downtown, etc.)

$2500.00 (For Non-City of Miami Residents – ex: Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Hialeah, Cutler Ridge, Homestead, South Miami, etc.)

Dues $76.25 per month (915 per year)

Capital Assessment $260.00 once a year in July

Facility, Operations, and Maintenance Fee $51.50 per month ( 618 per year)

Non-Resident Member

Dues $76.25 per month (915 per year)

Facility, Operations, and Maintenance Fee $25.75 per month (309 per year)

Service Member – For those who actively serve in a branch of the US Armed Forces
